The “Energoprojekt” building designed by Milica Šterić, later known as the Beobanka building, was a novelty in Belgrade’s architectural space of that time, both in terms of construction and materials. It is one of the first business buildings in the area where the method of assembling a modular facade made of metal and glass was applied.
The proportional connection between the two volumes, disturbed by the previous addition of two floors, was re-established by the intervention on the facade of the annex. The horizontal lines of the building were emphasized through the shape of parapets, which had to be moved to the zone between the floors, following the new fire regulations. In this way, an unobstructed view from the building, with a full height from floor to ceiling, was made possible, taking advantage of the quality of the location.
